Have you been to a splash pad in the East Columbus area, yet? If not and you aren't sure where to find them, here is a list with free splash pads you can spend some outdoor time with the kiddos and cool down in the heat!
1. Gahanna Splash Pad and Pool: This splash pad spray area is a new amenity to Gahanna's community pool, and can be accessible from Big Walnut Trail. It is toddler to teen friendly. Free hours without a membership are from 8am-12pm starting in June 2024 before the pool opens for members.
Where: Gahanna Swimming Pool, 148 Parkland Dr
Open: May-October, 8am-12pm for free hours before pool opens up for members. Free hours extend when not in pool season.
2. Easton Town Square Fountain: Why not get a little shopping in for Mom and Dad, and fun in for the kiddos! Or just go for the play and then grab a bite at one of many delicious restaurants or head over to Jeni's for a sweet and cool treat!
Where: 160 Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 43219
Open: 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday; 12-5pm Sundays best and free to park at Barnes and Noble, or free at any of the other garages there as well!
3. Rose Run Creek: This is not a splash pad, but the city of New Albany's Rose Run Park has a free and fun kid friendly area of its creek. You can find a cute little station of the creek with free to use toddler/child size boots as well as nets to take into the creek and find and catch creek critters!
Where: You can access this area of the creek from the East Bridge. Fodor Rd, New Albany, OH 43054
Open: Daily Spring-Fall, weather permitting
